Turner Seed Company is family owned and operated. In 1961 Bob Turner
started Turner Soil Conservation Service a dozer business that specialized
in applying conservation practices to the land. Bob became interested in
the different grasses that are used for pastures and fields. In 1974 Bob
started helping a friend harvest Kleingrass 75 with his homemade brush
sweeper. This was the beginning of Bob Turner Seed Co.

The seed company grew when Bob's son Darcy graduated in 1978 from Texas
A&M with a bachelors of science degree in agronomy. Darcy has spent the
last ten years expanding the business in wildlife and wildflower areas.
