Blue grama grows from 8 to 16 inches and may be found up to two feet tall. It is a grayish-green growing grass that matures into a gray or straw yellow color. It provides good livestock grazing and is a good winter forage grass. Blue grama is somewhat resistant to heavy grazing and does well in a variety of soil types.
