      Sand lovegrass is a native, perennial, warm season grass native to North America. It grows 24 to 60 inches tall. Sand lovegrass cures well for fall and winter grazing and is a good forage grass for livestock. Sand love is very palatable for livestock and as such may be grazed out unless rotational grazing and proper stocking is practiced. When reclaiming sandy areas, sand love should be considered. Sand love can sometimes be grown and managed as a monoculture in areas where hay production is adequate.
